Pet Nat is a sparkling wine made using the ancestral method. This involves bottling the wine before it has finished fermenting, allowing natural carbonation to develop in the bottle. Unlike traditional sparkling wines like Champagne or Cava, which undergo a secondary fermentation with added yeast and sugar, Pet Nat’s bubbles are entirely natural, created by the active yeasts present during bottling.
