The production process begins with the direct pressing of the grapes, without destemming. Next, the juice undergoes cold settling to clean it before fermentation in tanks with native yeasts. Once fermentation reaches optimal levels and sugar levels are appropriate, the wine is bottled with crown caps. This allows for the formation of foam and the completion of fermentation inside the bottle, preserving the distinctive characteristics of each grape variety.
La Humbertita is located within the Finca Las Peñas estate, planted in the year 1999 at an altitude of 990 meters above sea level. This vineyard hosts a variety of grape cultivars, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay.
La Humbertita’s Ensayo line presents a delightful 100% Malbec with a 12% alcohol content. Its slightly veiled appearance in the glass, attributed to fermentation lees, offers subtle pinkish tones. The nose delights with expressive floral notes and hints of red fruits. On the palate, it delivers a refreshing experience thanks to its natural acidity. This wine undergoes no oak aging, preserving its pure varietal characteristics.
