ENSAYO CHARDONNAY

The production process begins with the direct pressing of the grapes, without destemming. Next, the juice undergoes cold settling through decantation to initiate fermentation in tanks with indigenous yeasts. Once fermentation reaches optimal levels and sugar levels are appropriate, the wine is bottled with crown caps. This method allows for the formation of foam and the completion of fermentation inside the bottle, preserving the unique characteristics of each grape varietal.

VINEYARDS

Finca Las Peñas, situated at 990 meters above sea level and established in 1999, boasts a diverse array of grape varietals including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay. With 5500 plants per hectare yielding 80 quintals per hectare, its loamy soil contributes to the distinctive terroir. This vineyard proudly holds organic certification since 2023.

TASTING NOTES

La Humbertita’s Ensayo line presents a delightful 100% Chardonnay with a 12% alcohol content. Its appearance is slightly veiled, showcasing golden and straw tones. On the nose, expect expressive citrus aromas with subtle hints of honey and vanilla. The palate offers a refreshing experience thanks to its natural acidity. This wine undergoes no oak aging, allowing the pure varietal characteristics to shine through.
