Our story begins in the 1880s, with the arrival of Juan "Giovanni" Giol, Bautista Gargantini and Pascual Toso to Argentina. The three settled in Mendoza, joined and established their first winery, becoming pioneers of Argentine viticulture. In 1915, Juan Giol bought the winery from Ricardo Bustos who had built it in 1890.
Humberto Giol, son of Juan, founded the company Bodega y Viñedos San Polo S.A. in reference to the native town of his father and in 1936 he realizes the remodeling that remains in its structure until today. The Giol Family makes wines and provides winery services for third parties.
