AUKA MALBEC

Harvested in mid-March, meticulously by hand, yielding 90qq/ha. Fermentation at low temperatures for 25 days. Each plot is harvested in distinct stages, resulting in entirely unique wine profiles. Gentle extraction techniques are employed to achieve fruity aromas and balanced tannins. All our wines undergo 100% malolactic fermentation.

VINEYARDS

Finca Las Peñas, situated at 990 meters above sea level and planted in 1999, boasts a diverse array of varietals including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay. Utilizing the espalier trellising method, the vineyard maintains 5500 plants per hectare, yielding 80qq/ha. The soil, characterized as loamy clay, adds to the terroir’s distinctiveness.

TASTING NOTES

Aged 70% in second-use French and American oak, this wine presents a deep, brilliant red hue. Intense fruitiness on the nose, with prominent notes of fresh red fruits harmonized by vanilla from barrel aging. It offers a fresh palate with balanced acidity, making it gentle on the palate.

PAIRING

Ideal with roasted meats, empanadas, and pasta.
